Jenyfher recently completed her studies in Law at the University and is now officially an attorney! In order to increase her marketability, she took a 3 month assignment in the U.S. helping a mother in the military care for her children and household. Jen's immersed in an intensive English learning experience!
Arisai was studying at the University of Ensenada, but recently had to take time off to address her immigration documentation issues. Ari was born in the United States, but has lived in Mexico most of her life. She is currently working with an immigration attorney to locate her U.S. citizenship papers, which will open up many opportunities for her. She will return to college in September, continuing her studies in Business Administration. She's a great softball player, too!
We met Luis Miguel several years ago while visiting his sisters in an orphanage. He recently came back into our lives and we discovered he is currently working as a barber in order to earn money for college! He wants to study Sports Physical Education to become either a teacher or trainer. FTC, Inc. purchased a set of professional barber tools to help him improve his services.
Andrea (16) and her sister Flor, (17) are two young ladies we have become especially close to. They are both Honors students and are looking forward to entering the University upon graduation. Flor wants to study Chemical Engineering and Andrea wants to become a Doctor. They are both immensely intelligent girls, and we want to help them achieve their goals!
Carmen is studying Graphic Design at the University of Ensenada. FTC recently purchased a new computer for her, so she has the right equipment to achieve her goals.
Leilany is currently studying Gastronomy at the University, with a goal of owning her own restaurant or food business one day.

FTC, Inc. was founded as a charitable, non-profit foundation by husband and wife Richard Illescas and Gina Zappariello-Illescas in 2021.
Richard is a former IBM Project Executive and Gina is a retired teacher, coach and education executive.
Relocating to Ensenada, Mexico after their respective retirements, Richard and Gina headed in a great new direction... giving back.
What started as volunteering to teach English to elementary kids in a tiny school near their Ensenada home, developed into a passion for helping young girls rise out of poverty and abandonment to become strong, self-sufficient women who realize that their dreams can become a reality.
And so, FTC, Inc. was born.
Pismo Paper Arts
Gina opened up her Etsy shop - Pismo Paper Arts - in 2022. Pismo Paper Arts offers handmade, unique paper art, including journals, greeting cards and wall art. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of items on Pismo Paper Arts is donated to FTC, Inc.
